Artist Profile

Subash Thebe’s oeuvre can aesthetically be ascribed to abstract expressionism. The gestures of line and colour present a visual, cacophonic aftermath of spontaneous and pre-thought experiments whilst listening and reacting to classical music, eventually named after the title of the listened to score.  Music has been a pretty decent inspiration for Subash to create artworks apparently, despite the fact that the works are not the visual manifestations of the music but are definitely influenced by it in some extent confides the artist. Though it seems absurd to relate modern art and classical music, it is interesting to ponder upon the titles of his art works and different connotations it might raise.

Subash Thebe was born in Dharan, Nepal and lives and works in London.
