After receiving his 5th and 6th Gold medals in London 2012 in the Men's team sprint and the Men's Keirin finals Chris Hoy is now the most successful British Olympian in history. To add to his list of achievements Hoy smashed a new World Record with 42.600secs in the Men's team sprint.

Breaststroke swimmer Michael Jamieson and sprinter Christine Ohuruogu won team GB two more silver medals between them. Jamieson in the Men's 200m Breaststroke and Ohuruogu in the Women's 400m sprint. Whilst Jamieson also partook in the Men's 4 x 100m Medley Relay, coming a close fourth to Australia's Bronze. |

Both Perri Shakes-Drayton and Phillips Idowu managed to reach the semi finals in their events yet failed to qualify for the finals. Phillips came 14th place in his heat, a disappoinment for the Beijing Silver medalist, whilst Shakes-Drayton managed 3rd in her semi final heat, just missing qulification for the finals. |
