During January our existing artists added some spectacular new work to their profile pages. We would also like to welcome our new artists which we are looking forward to working with at DegreeArt this year.

Claire Jenkinson
Claire creates work which experiments with mark making possibilities, painting with new materials and continually finding more ways to produce powerful and thought provoking pieces. Her practice is built up in stages using sketches, photography and photo manipulation programs. She starts with mark making from a study of contours, curves and shapes of natural forms, such as trees, leaves and rocks found in natural woodland.

Mike Coffey
"I am interested in the challenge posed by selecting contrasting textures and natural and non naturalistic colour combinations to create the finished works. My style has been influenced by a contrasting range of artists and styles from Andre Derain to Robert Motherwell and Patrick Caulfield. Having been born and raised in London the city has always been a big influence in my life. This is reflected in my current work which is based upon its diverse architecture, both old and new". - Mike Coffey
