THE WORLD IN LONDON

The Photographers Gallery embarks on an ambitious photography project for 2012, celebrating London's diversity and photography's unique role in capturing the human form.

The Photographers Gallery have commissioned over 200 UK and international photographers to make portraits of Londoners, each of whom was born in one of the 203 nations competing in London's 2012 Olympic Games.

The portraits will feature in an outdoor exhibition in London during Summer 2012, accompanied online by interviews and stories from the people portrayed.

THEY need your help!

They still have 36 nations left to find sitters from. If you know of anyone who was born in one of the following nations but now lives in London, and is interested in being photographed for the project, please contact portrait.commission@photonet.org.uk
