"His Holiness"
"His Holiness", is an exploration and criticism of religion and politics in modern society. I am in love with the double character of the Pope, a strong and intimidating character chosen to represent the fragile, the innocent and the pure. I tried showing this contrast analogically by using dark and heavy colours to represent the darker side of the character, and using rich colours and even gold, to show the wealth, grandeur and splendour of His Holiness. The Pope represents the idealistic views and examples that modern society ´should´ follow, condemning the reality of the present times shown in the other paitning of this diptych (Everyone who loves...).
