The Half Doll.

"Human presence has always been a major element of my work. Drawn from a strong sense of the human condition, my artistic practice commonly projects anxieties, terrors and existential concerns. Reinterpreting intensely the physical construction of the body, I explore the female identity, models of art, the loss of childhood innocence, among other complex themes. 

My paintings are diverse. They are developed progressively in serial and parallel ideas. Among my new works, I have taken advantage of the doll’s human likeness to a child, adult or baby, to address themes as violence, abuse, or trauma and its eternal return. More recent figurative paintings project an intimate narrative of loss, of feminity and abandonment; the projection of inner tension and pain.

My aim is to move and connect with the spectator through my artistic practice; to incite people to question and to perceive something, anything..."
