'Study For The Observation Tower'

Oil on Board In a Grey Frame.

This piece is a preparatory study for a larger painting. In this piece I have placed a group of figures who came to The Festival of Britain observing one of the modernist observation towers. I have sought to contrast the sharp angularity and obtuse nature of the tower with the old fashioned appearance of those observing it.
