Dan Proops is a Artist. Proops integrates our obsession with the fleeting progression of technology with the epic tradition of fine art painting. He has taken the Microsoft OS as a subject matter for paintings in oil on canvas is pioneering new theories relating to the design concepts and visualisations that contribute to the design of the modern day operating system. Proops, who has been exhibiting since the age of fourteen, is an Honours graduate from Goldsmiths whose work has been exhibited in over twenty five shows in London including Cork Street and The Serpentine Gallery. He has been represented by art dealer Eric Franck with whom he has exhibited at Art Brussels and The London Art fair.He is a sought after artist for major private collectors including the cartoonist Tom Johnston and award winning BBC Documentary maker Michael Cockerel. Recently Proops was involved with the Microsoft DesignIT competition for IT professionals to design new systems for their favourite charity. |
