1095 [transmission] explored alternative methods of storytelling. It developed an intricate narrative around a central character that unravelled by exploring the moving image, sound, sculpture, text and images within the space

For the Signature Art Awards we would take the key elements from this installation, that being the three machines, and present them as ‘artifacts’. They will be given a museal aura, displayed on pristine podiums, as individual relics, juxtaposing the clean-cut aesthetic of the ‘museum’ and the rustic ‘object’. We will represent them as if 1095 [transmission] was not an installation but something real, which is now being exhibited in parts as a factual display of a previous event, that can no longer exist as a whole. Thus creating and developing a new interpretation of the central narrative.

The three works will be contextualised by an additional booklet. This will appear official, anonymous, ambiguous and resemble old infographic publications. It will explore the work as if it has been discovered, analysing it in a semi-scientific manner, revealing the key narrative elements that carried through the initial installation. This will be exhibited alongside the machines and be available to be read through by the viewer.
