This piece embodies my creative process which is why I am entering it for the DegreeArt.com Signature Awards.

For me, a vision or project begins by sketching a loose, slightly chaotic framework taking care not to think too much. I then do lots of research and begin collecting all the necessary pieces in order to convert the sketch into reality. Once I have all the essential components in place and it feels right (and this is important) the fun begins. I fire out a wide range of multidisciplinary colours in a variety of directions and then step back. Dab off any excessive pools of ink or colour with kitchen roll and leave it to dry. View it from a distance. Reflect over what I’ve learnt or how I could do things better. And begin the process again.
