I walked the beaches of the West Country collecting the discarded plastic traces of human activity. The found objects appeared everywhere, gradually infiltrating nature as if returning to the prehistoric animal life from which oil originates. As I collected, patterns began to emerge, certain plant and animal-like motifs recurred and I began to speculate: in some post-apocalyptic future, could plastic become the new dominant species? Has the invasion already begun?
