I studied Fine Art Painting at Loughborough and have a Masters with Distinction from Wimbledon College of Art, London. Coming second in the student Jerwood Drawing prize.  I currently work as a painting assistant for an internationally prolific artist. This year I have group shows in London and Bristol.

I use repetitive mark making in my work creating intricate patterned surfaces, layering mark upon mark to create almost map-like landscapes, veils and a sense of space. I like to use images and words within some of my pieces, they usually have a poetic dreamlike feel to them emerging from out of the noise of my mark-making. Striving for a more peaceful beautiful state of being, the multiple marks are like an obsessive account of my time and an escape from time and thinking, telling you nothing they just allow you in your thoughts to wander.

 I work mainly on paper and use a mixed media approach – painting and drawing the works I create. I have a strongly graphical style, working organically I often allow the line and pattern to emerge over time without planning rigid compositions or outcomes for the work.
