Artist Profile

Creativity and freedom of expression are part of being human.  The objects I make, the prints I draw, the collages I construct are no more than an expression of this and a celebration of visual communication.

As with anything we create as humans, the work takes inspiration from the life I experience and the situations and people I involve myself with, and learn from.  To be able to express even the smallest part of this experience makes the whole worthwhile.

I find extreme pleasure in making and doing what I do, and have been fortunate enough to have the opportunity to follow this path for a time.  It is challenging and hard sometimes, but beyond all, it is a passion for believing that art in all its guises is beyond culture, beyond all we can inflict upon it and bound it up by in our current socity.  It is about freedom and about communication.  It speaks what words otherwise may fail to do and it sings.  From the smallest childs drawing to the largest cathedral, creativity can sing.  And this is what drives me.  To try to achieve this, to try to celebrate this.  That is what I can hope.
