Orchids (Wall hangings)

With a background in industrial and graphic design Ulrika Bygge incorporates elements of both art and design in her surface illustrations. Her work is inspired by dream worlds, folklore, current events and personal experiences. By combining illustration, printmaking, painting, photography and collage she communicates the essence of these narratives onto prints, wallhangings, one-off wallpapers and urban / interior decoration. She also facilitates creative projects for a range of individuals and community groups and is an active supporter of widening participation and equal opportunities within the arts. Ulrika has lived in several countries including Spain, Switzerland and the United Kingdom before moving back to her Scandinavian roots, currently living and working on the island of Öland, Sweden.
