Which living artists do you most admire and why?

There are so many I wouldn't know where to start or stop.

Which deceased artist do you most admire and why?

Turner for the wonderful atmosphere he creates.

Which exhibition that you have visited made the greatest impact on you and why?

I went to see the Glasgow Boys exhibition at the Royal Academy, I simply loved it how they managed to create such fantastic work despite all the the obstacles they encountered.

The colours and atmosphere in their work was so inspiring. 

What is the question you get asked most frequently about your work and how do you answer it?

How do create such fantastic light in your work?

It comes from within, during my work as a nurse I try to create light in peoples life constantly searching for positivity.

What / who inspired you to be an artist?

My mother is an artist and I have always been surrounded by art to create has always been an obsession of mine. 

Can you tell us about where you make your art and what if any the significance of this location is?

I have a purpose built studio in my garden, it's my little sanctury.

What do you like most about being an artist?

To be able to create somethng new and bring pleasure to peoples' lives, it is all about escapism. 

What is your greatest achievement as an artist to date?

Winning first prize at the Rugby Open peoples choice award, it was great to know that people liked my work that much to vote for it.

What are your plans for the coming year?

Increase my hours as a practicing artist, exhibit in London for the first time and continue to develop as an artist.
