Profile

Italian born Clara Turchi is a photography-based artist currently attending the 3rd year of the BA (Hons) Photography at the London College of Communication. Her practice is an active investigation into the medium, from the retention of the colours (or lack of), to the issues of time, perception and perspective, to the inscrutable surface that hides the hand of the artist. Each piece is conceptually approached, creatively exploited and lovingly cared into the smallest detail. She is the recipient of awards and her pictures have been published and exhibited extensively in London and Italy; among others she has exhibited at the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition 2010, What Now? 2011 at Siobhan Davies Studios, she had her first solo showcase of works at Bayeux, London W1, in August and September 2011, and she has been selected to show at the Photofusion AMPS/11. Clara lives and works in London.
