Profile

Current work explores the dialectic between the natural and the manmade environment. It calls upon my physical and psychological inherence in the world; for example my experience of walking in the landscape as opposed to the psychology of interior architectural spaces.

The work evolves intuitively through a formal reduction regarding composition and palette. The result is abstract and explores the essence of an idea along with the aesthetic materiality of the paint itself.

The paintings exist as visual metaphors for the phenomena of my reference, for example, transience, presence and absence, decay and regeneration.
