This years Documenta 13 in Kassel. 

What is the question you get asked most frequently about your work and how do you answer it?

What do you prefer to paint animals or people? Whenever I’m painting animals I think of people and when I’m painting people I’m thinking of animals. I love the human body, the animals are there to show another side or parallel of that adoration.

What / who inspired you to be an artist?

My parents and brother have always been amazing to me.

Can you tell us about where you make your art and what if any the significance of this location is?

I can paint pretty much anywhere as long as there is space and good light but I always seem to end up painting in my bedroom even though I have my own studio space.

What do you like most about being an artist?

Paints, I’m particularly enjoying making my own at the moment from bags of pigment.

What is your greatest achievement as an artist to date?

On this artist residency in the heart of Paris. 

What are your plans for the coming year?

I'm currently on a residency in Paris at the moment.
