Kindred Portrait Harry.2022 is Kwesi's second kindred portrait from his painting series. For this piece, Kwesi attempted to capture his father with the use of oil paint on a flat panel board. Using his artistic practice Kwesi pulls from African sculpture and applies shapes in the placement of the portrait. Kwesi also ensures to add two highlights to draw attention to his father's beady eyes. Whilst applying thick wet paint with loose brush strokes with a mixture of red, orange, burnt amber, and brown to expressively capture his pigmentation.
