Flavia Tritto is a multidisciplinary visual artist working mainly in photography, installation, performance and participatory art.
After completing her education in the social sciences, she obtained her Master in Fine Art at Central Saint Martins in 2019. She now works between London and Bari (Italy). She has taken part to several international exhibitions (such as OVERPR!NT at the Centre de la Gravure et de l’image imprimée (La Louvière, Belgium 2018), Orbit UK Art Graduates Show (London, UK 2019) and From a Distant Proximity at Güler Sanat (Ankara, Turkey 2019) and international residencies (e.g. at the Banff Centre for Arts and Creativity (Alberta, Canada) and at the European Academy of Participation (Marseille, France 2018).
Her work explores (inter-)subjectivity and individuality, approached from a multidisciplinary perspective. She look at the structures in which individuals are embedded, and at the mechanisms that enable and constrain identity, in order to challenge their margins, explore their possibility of change, and unveil our hidden and possible multiplicities. Her work is multidisciplinary both in its art form and its underlying theoretical framework; it is both experience- and theory- based.
