To make this piece, I initially coated the paper with light sensitive chemicals. These are the same chemicals as when cyanotypes were first introduced in 1842. This was done in near darkness and using broad strokes which are evident in the final piece. I then allowed the paper to dry for some hours in total darkness. The image was exposed on to the paper with UV light and I intend to just have 10 of these images printed. The paper is a heavyweight watercolour called Bockingford 300gms and each image of these pieces will be unique as the chemicals are never applied in the same way.
