ABOUT THE ARTIST:
Mary Dalton, is an award-winning artist and founder of Washroom Press, intertwines diverse print techniques to create a dynamic and unconventional artistic language.

As a distinguished alumna of the Royal College of Art, her work extends beyond traditional printmaking into sculpture, installation, textiles, and performance, pushing the boundaries of the medium.

Trained by master printmakers such as Alan Smith, Robin Smart, and Stanley Jones MBE, Mary's art is featured in prestigious collections including the Tate Library, Imperial War Museum, V&A Museum, the Canadian War Museum, and the British Library. Alongside her artistic endeavors, Mary is deeply committed to education. She serves as a regular tutor at West Dean College of Arts and Conservation, teaching both short courses and permanent Fine Art students. Her instructional reach extends to various workshops and studios across London and the South East, including the esteemed Ochre Print Studio. Beyond academia, Mary engages in community and outreach teaching, contributing to projects at the John Hansard Gallery in Southampton, Arts Council England-funded initiatives for her village and beyond, as well as participating in festivals, fairs, and purpose-driven educational programs.
