The summer season and the colours and shapes in the fields around my home are the influence for this set of paintings - Fields of Gold. These shapes and colours change by the day and during each day depending upon the quality of the light and the growth and decay of the vegetation. They are therefore visual stories that surround me and are accompanied by the familiar sounds of large birds such as red kites, small birds such as greenfinches, breezes, winds and distant tractors. These paintings look best on a small wall or hallway either on their own or as a set of several.I hope to bring something of this serenity to others via my paintings.
