The Formscape Series explores the intersection between the artist's popular Urban Landscape Series and Balance Series. The imperfect shapes in the works, inspired by architecture, design, and urban spaces, interact with each other to find a moment of unexpected balance. The pieces in this collection encourage the viewer's focus to undulate between formal features of fine art: texture, form, colour, balance and proportion. Seeking to expose the creative process as a practice of addition/subtraction and creation/demolition, the artist embraces the transient and incomplete nature of artmaking.
