Isaac Goodwin, Very sensitive, intelligent and lovely; A childhood friend we grew up together in Dorset. I made this sculpture in Isaac's home. Like all my work this bust was made from life and it was the fastest I have ever made, being done in one afternoon. My only explanation for this is that I know Isaac really well and his highly familiar family home accented the creative process to such a degree that it accelerated the work. In creating this work I want to channel this quiet intelligence Isaac possesses. Much sharper than most but also so calm and collected. His family home is a remarkable place full of texture, beauty and vibrance, Isaac contrasts this subtly and wonderfully, something I hope this work brings across.
