Year: 2010 Medium: Acrylics and fabrics Most of my paintings are started with the materials and then internal visual stories/memories take over as the work progresses. Long Night with Whispers and Polished Floors was one of four experimental paintings that were deliberately started with an internal visual story/memory. The colour palette and the forms used, were therefore established at the outset. I had thought that this would be much harder for me, but it worked. I think it helped that the memories of all four were highly charged and emotional ones.
