Onyx Fragment is carved from a rough piece of yellow onyx. The front of the sculpture is polshed and merges into the back which shows the rough beauty of the stone in stark contrast to the polished front. Onyx is transulcent so at this thickness the sculpture glows from the light behind. Mounted on an oak base.
