Platform Art | March 2020 | The Original Online Art Gallery

“I was here, I saw this and it mattered to me.”― Alain de Botton,The Art of Travel

This March, presents the first of their monthly pop-up exhibitions ‘Platform Art’ in London’s Waterloo Station. These themed exhibitions will showcase handpicked, emerging artists directly to commuters Find us opposite Platform 10.

Platform Art, supported by Network Rail, will bring contemporary art to passengers and visitors to the station, whilst providing emerging and graduate artists with a unique opportunity to share their artwork and the stories behind it with members of the public. Additionally, artists will be given the opportunity to set up their studio for the day on the concourse to capture the art of travelling.

Platform Art will address a major challenge faced by artists - how to showcase their work to the general public . At the same time , the events will make contemporary art by emerging artists accessible to the thousands of people who use Waterloo station, allowing them to meet the artists and discuss their work first hand.” Jahnai Hall - Curator
