This painting is one of a series. I often paint similar paintings either in pairs or in sets and find that working them together frees me up to be more creative, resting as I do between each one, re-visiting it again, and adding or subtracting more or less paint or fabric or other materials almost in an act to conversation. I see the set as a set of beings that relate to one another, and with whom I am in communication - perhaps like an orchestra and I am the conductor! I love this set - including 3 stripes somewhere in most of my paintings is something that just happens! This set have a central three stripes. The materials include the finest of cotton damask glued and folded and shredded and acrylic paints and some dyes overlaid. If someone wanted a series along a passageway, they would look great displayed in that fashion - like a conversational journey. Some of the fabric extends beyond the frame, so if framing was required they would need to be framed in a larger floating frame. This can be arranged on request but delivery time would need to be extended.
