Materials:

I use found imagery of celebrities and other source material for this image. The source material was either found online or digitally scanned/photographed to create a digital (source) image which would then be digitally collaged using Photoshop. The idea is to build up a sensorial likeness that looks to 'feel' rather than 'represent' the subject. All images are created on a computer using a drawing tablet and pen. In using the layered architecture of Photoshop these images are built up layer by layer until a point is reached when the image no longer requires my input and can articulate its presence without further addition. The images are limited editions of 10 and are printed on Hahnemuehle paper using light fast inks.
